Is that a cool fall breeze I feel?

Fall is officially on its way! Do you know what that means? Shirley Grand will be making appearances at craft fairs throughout the Lehigh Valley! Let the fairs begin!

I know I have been hyping this up for the past few months, but I really cannot believe that my first craft fair of the season is here! I have a few different ones on the books for this month and I cannot wait to get my first one under my belt!

September 11th 

Cruise into Fall Craft Fair  at  Macungie Memorial Park

This is the second time I've been a vendor at a fair run by these amazing women, and I am so happy to be back! This is also an outdoor event, and not only will there be crafts and vendors, but there is a classic car show as well! Make sure you make it out to Macungie for some fun for the whole family!

 

September 17th 

Farewell to Summer Festival  at  Emmaus Triangle Park

I am so excited about this one! Food trucks, live music, and kid activities! It's going to have everything and a yarn store across the street! Come out and see this amazing community say "so long summer!" in the best way possible.

September 24-25th 

Lehigh Valley Fiber Festival  at  Macungie Memorial Park

As anyone who works with yarn will tell you, it's all about the material! Also, we "yarn heads" love to see where the yarn comes from and what other amazing crafters are doing with it. This festival is a must for me! I always limit myself to visiting for only one day, because truth be told, I wouldn't be able to pay rent if I went both days. There's just so much yarn to love! I hope you can make it out to one of the days to see how many different artisans are actually involved in just one garment or item that I make. A Preview?

Ok, I may have gotten ahead of myself here BUT my first craft fair of October is on October 1st! Super exciting! What is also exciting is that it's going to be in Dallas, PA (near Wilkes-Barre for those not in the know) where my very dear friends live! I am super excited to get to do a show near them so they can come and see my stuff in person! They have been supporting my crazy crochet endeavors from the beginning (they commissioned some of my first projects) and are some of the most amazing people in the world. I can't wait to see them and share my craft in person. I will be sharing it on my Instagram but in case you don't catch it later in the month, I included the info here too! 

Anything else?

This was a lot for a newsletter update and I will obviously be updating you again next month with fairs and things that I think you should check out. I know that a few of you loved the added recipes from last month and I will try to incorporate a few off and on as I am able. I do think that being creative is not limited to crafts, and we are not all limited to a single expression of that creativity. Keep plugging away and exploring all the different facets of expression there are and I look forward to seeing you at one of these, or future fairs!
